Camden Gateway Pitch Bootcamp for Startup & Entrepreneurs - March 2019 Edition

March 12th saw the launch of a new event at Camden Gateway: Camden Gateway Pitch Bootcamp

Pitching your business can be a daunting task, but not so at Camden Gateway.  Supporting Start-ups and entrepreneurs is at the core of our Studio Mission and opening our space for a monthly Pitch Bootcamp comes only natural.

We provide a supportive live audience, expert advice by our panel and the opportunity to win a month of Hot-desking or the use of our event space. The rest is up to you.

On our first Studio Pitch Bootcamp on March 12th, 2019 we saw three businesses pitching at our event.  

Hannah from Millys Bakes UK introduced us to her social enterprise and bakery business. Not only was this her first-ever pitch, but Hannah also stepped up to be the first pitch of the evening. She received valuable feedback on the importance of knowing her business figures by heart and was also advised of the potential of her social mission when it comes to building strong storytelling and content strategy. 

Next up was Alex who presented Project Bay. The start-up connects Uni Students with businesses and clients through paid online projects. Alex received tips and insights from both the audience as well as the expert panel on how to target small businesses in need of an intern for a range of tasks in their business.

Robert Birch of Wigawam introduced the audience to his co-living platform. He started the business just a couple of months ago and the results impressed both the expert panel and the audience. As a passionate co-liver himself he did well in explaining the concept to a curious room. Winner of the free hot-desking one-month membership, we look forward to welcoming him soon to our community.

The evening ended in a pleasant atmosphere of champagne and stimulating conversation in our open Studio kitchen. We look forward to our next event on April 16th, 2019 and encourage our past attendees and future hopefuls to sing up to pitch now, as spaces are filling up soon.
